Fashion Week, Day 5
Instead of posting an outfit (which was very un impressive but so not the point), I’m posting a picture of my backstage pass!
Today we went behind the scenes of Michelle Ludik and Leigh Shubert’s shows! It was phenomenal!
Michelle Ludik’s summer line filled the stage with glistening glows of underwater corals and floating material. Belinda Ludik provided the jewelry for the show and that was gorgeous to the max. The underwater theme of the line was maximized by the the bright coral colours and the sea anemone-esque jewelry. All in all, it was a fab show.
Leigh Shubert displayed geometric patterns and kept it classy with light colours. Her line was feminine yet powerful, perfect for the empowered woman.
Ladies, jumpsuits are h-o-t for this season! Both designers showcased their takes on the trendy item and it made my credit card itch in my hand!
Interning for a Fashion Week showcasing designer is definitely not for the faint hearted, that’s for sure!
As it is rather chilly here in the Cape, I thought it was the perch opportunity to wear my new Sugar Plum jersey that I love so much! Black and khaki make a great pair, too.

Fashion Week, Day 3
Silly me, I forgot to take a photo before I wizzed off to gym!
Today’s outfit needed to be less fashionista and more relaxista as the show is drawing closer and the running around is increasing!
If you have a plan outfit like jeans, boots and a knit - add a detailed jacket for some detail. Also look into your accessories and makeup to lighten up your look.Jeans - RT Woolworths Leather Boots - Woolworths Grey Cami - Slick Leather Jacket - Slick Cream Jersey - Cotton On Watch - Fossil Necklace - Model Citizen

Fashion Week, Day 2
Today was a crazy day filled with fitting the models into the clothes and running around getting things organized! I wanted to be comfy yet not be mistaken for Fatty Friday attire.
I practically live in my Topshop ankle boots because they’re super comfortable and add a bit of height which I will ever say no to! And I got to wear my new Model Citizen necklace, yay!
Denim shirt - Cotton On
“Eish!” T - Mr Price
Jeans - RT Woolworths
Ankle Boots - Topshop
Off to my first day at Tart! Love my new top from Model Citizen that I got yesterday, I just had to wear it.
Use a denim jacket to break the black and grey, this adds a bit of color in your look and avoids a goth effect.
Skirt - G Couture
Denim Jacket - Diesel
Shoes - Topshop
Top - Model Citizen at Kalk Bay Co-op
Check tomorrow’s outfit featuring this Gucci bag!
In light of Cape Town Fashion Week, I thought some much needed retail therapy was needed. And where better to go than Kalk Bay to support local designers.
I stumbled across a cute boutique, Kalk Bay Co-op, and they stock local designers’ clothes, accessories and shoes. If you ever find yourself in Cape Town, make sure to stop at Kalk Bay Co-op - beautiful clothing for beautiful prices.
The one designer they stock, Model Citizen, has its own corner I the store where I spent most of my time browsing… Mostly restraining myself from buying everything! Edgy T’s and crop tops filled the rails along with cut off denim shorts, perfect for some summer shopping. The owner even gave me a sneak peak of the new stock that they got, and wow! I had to snatch the leatherette detailed t from the batch.

Guess who is starting work at Tart tomorrow for the Mercedez Benz Cape Town Fashion Week? ME!
That’s right Coco’s Loving is going to Fashion Week. And of course I had to do some shopping for the special occasion!
I will be posting my buys and looks through out the week. I also will be posting pictures from fashion week! Stay tuned, lovelies.

Just got this Royal Plum Revolution nail polish from Clicks yesterday.
It’s absolutely perfect for winter as the plum colour totally fits in with the deep wine reds that we’ve been spotting this winter.
